David T. Howell, CFP®, AIF®, ChSNC®, ChFC®, CLU®

 I've been in the financial services industry since 2002. In 2005, I was named partner and served in a management capacity educating and developing advisors in the Middle Tennessee and Kentucky area.  In 2014, I joined the Principal Financial Group® Central States Business Center in Brentwood, TN. 

I have extensive knowledge in working with business owners.  My background and education are beneficial in assisting business owners in succession planning, retirement planning and comprehensive financial planning. 

One of my passions has been working with the community with unique abilities. I obtained the Chartered Special Needs Consultant® (ChSNC®) designation in 2013 from the American College of Financial Services®.  I have served on the outreach committee for the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, as a board member for the Autism Tennessee Society of Middle Tennessee, and on the board for the Brentwood YMCA. I currently co-chair the Brentwood YMCA Full Circle Committee. My current professional designations include: CFP®, AIF®, ChSNC®, ChFC®, and CLU®.

My wife, Hecseliz, and I have two boys and are active members of Judson Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. I co-champion the Legacy Mission Village Partnership within the church, and work to empower the refugee community in the Middle Tennessee area through education and skill-building.  I played college baseball at Valparaiso University and went on to graduate with a BBA in Finance and an Emphasis in Economics at the University of Iowa.

AIF® (Accredited Investment Fiduciary®) is an educational designation only, obtained by the holder by completing the requisite coursework.  The AIF Designation does not mean the holder is acting in a fiduciary capacity.
